About NeuRoads
Mental Health,
Made Human
A clinic built on the belief that good mental health care starts with genuine connection.
Founder & Counsellor
Austin Withers
NeuRoads Mental Health Clinic was founded with a simple conviction: that everyone deserves access to compassionate, professional mental health support — without barriers, without judgement, and without being treated as a number.
With a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and registration with the Australian Counselling Association, Austin brings a grounded, person-first approach to every session. His training spans Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-based approaches.
Rather than claiming mastery over any single modality, Austin draws flexibly from these approaches — tailoring each session to the person in front of him. The result is care that feels human, responsive, and genuinely supportive.
Our Philosophy
What Guides Our Work
Client-Centred
You are the expert on your own life. Our role is to listen, support, and walk alongside you — not to prescribe a one-size-fits-all solution. Every session is built around your needs, your pace, and your goals.
Trauma-Informed
We understand that past experiences shape how you move through the world. Our approach prioritises safety, trust, and empowerment — ensuring you always feel in control of the process.
Evidence-Based
Our practice is grounded in proven therapeutic approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT, and Mindfulness. We stay current with research to offer you the most effective support available.
